What should you bring to the Formula 1 circuit?

If you are going to the Formula 1 circuit for a day, you want to enjoy the races and the atmosphere to the fullest. But there is nothing more annoying than realising halfway through that you have forgotten something important. That is why we have put together a handy checklist for you with everything you really need to bring.

1. Tickets and ID

This may seem obvious, but make sure you bring your tickets (digital or printed) and a valid ID. Without these, you won't get far. Double check before you go!

2. Earplugs or hearing protection

Formula 1 cars are great to watch, but they are also incredibly loud. Earplugs are a must to protect your hearing, especially if you are sitting close to the track. Do you still want to enjoy the sound? Then choose special racing earplugs that attenuate the sound without losing details.

3. Comfortable clothing and shoes

Track days are often long, so wear comfortable clothing that is suitable for the weather. Also remember to wear sturdy shoes, as you will be walking a lot on the terrain. If rain is forecast, don’t forget your raincoat or poncho – umbrellas are usually not permitted due to visibility.

4. Sunscreen, sunglasses and cap

The sun can be treacherous, even on a cloudy day. Protect yourself with sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. A sunburned face is not a nice souvenir!

5. Food and drink

Eating and drinking on the circuit can be expensive, and long lines are not uncommon. Check in advance whether you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks. Usually small snacks and a reusable water bottle are allowed (these can often be filled at water stations).

6. Flags and merchandise

Show who your favorite driver or team is! Bring your flag, T-shirt, or cap to show your support. Extra fun: buy your merchandise in advance via RaceRevolution for example , so you are sure of unique items and don't pay too much. (Merchandise on the circuit is often very expensive!)

7. Chair or seat cushion

If you have a general admission ticket and no fixed seat, a folding seat or seat cushion can make all the difference. This way you can sit comfortably along the circuit.

8. Power bank

Taking photos, checking your schedule or finding your friends – your phone will be used a lot. A power bank is therefore essential to keep your battery full all day long.

9. Circuit plan and diagram

Print out a map of the circuit and the schedule for the day. This way you know exactly where to go and you won't miss any action, such as support races or autograph sessions.

10. Good vibes and enthusiasm

Last but not least: bring your enthusiasm! The Formula 1 atmosphere is unique. Whether you are cheering for Max, Lewis or another driver, enjoy the day, the fans around you and the adrenaline of the cars racing past.

With this checklist you are well prepared for a great day at the track. Have fun and enjoy the races! 🚗💨
